Latest reviews of MEDIC First Aid Passport app for iPhone and iPad
Only for selected classes
You must register your prior training from one of their pre-approved schools. My Wilderness Medicine Institute certification from National Outdoor Leadership Society was not on there-yet Comedy CPR and Fresh and Easy first aid is-go figure
Bummer
App locked unless you have a registration code.
Read my review for details
First, I am an instructor for both medic first aid and for ASHI. The other two reviews of this app are flawed. First, YES, this app is a companion to the class you must take. The app includes the student guide book, as well as various videos and information associated with the class, including the contact details for your training center. The app is ONLY intended for those that completed a class, NOT the general public. Thats not unusual or hard to figure out..., just read the app description. The other review stated that a "comedy CPR" and other class are available. Doubtful. As those arent classes offered by Medic First Aid.
But the reason I am giving it one star myself is that for the past two years, as my training center director, I highly recommended this app to all my students, often asking them to download it at the end of class. Now, the app does not work. The registration code (from both BasicPlus AND PediatricPlus) comes back as invalid. When I contacted customer care I was informed they are aware of the issue but have no idea when it will be fixed. This makes me, an instructor who certifies over 1000 people a year, look very bad, and Im now having to handle upset emails from my students and clients because they cant use the app.
Medic First Aid has been great on sending out an email at least once per year to tell me prices are increasing.... Again... But it would have been nice to be informed of the app not working so that I didnt have to look like a fool and take the extra time and effort to respond to now dissatisfied clients and their employees.
Registration fails
I thought maybe the others were doing something wrong, but nope. It clearly does not work. Registration worked on their website, but not the app. Waste of time.
